Neuromuscular massage therapy is a form of soft tissue massage that aims to alleviate chronic muscle and nervous system disorders and problems. It is mainly used to fix trigger points (knots), circulation, nerve compression, postural issues, and repetitive movement injuries.
Lucy is often described as an intuitive deep tissue therapist with a gentle approach to the body. She will use slow movements to allow her to get deeper into the tissue. Her style must be experienced as she uses various techniques making it a unique experience. Her massage techniques range from postural assessment, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy, and rehabilitation.

Lucy earned her Registered Massage Therapist designation from The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) following 2200 hours of practice and rigorous clinical examinations. Being trained in Ontario means, that massage therapy is overseen by a regulatory body as a health profession. This is similar to physicians, psychologists, and occupational therapists. RMTs have to adhere to a Standard of Practice and stricter standards regarding things like record-keeping, just like doctors and so forth.

Advanced medical knowledge and training: Canadian massage therapists are among the highest trained in the world. Getting qualified has far more in-school and clinical hours than in California. Since RMTs are regulated, the curriculum is highly focused on anatomy, and physiology with an emphasis on pathology, rehabilitation as well as manual skills. Lucy has continued her knowledge since then and her focus has been on evidence-based courses.

In her practice, Lucy has had the privilege of working in tandem with fellow skilled practitioners such as Physicians, Sports Medicine Doctors, Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Naturopathic Doctors, Traditional Chinese Doctors, and Personal Trainers. This shared knowledge and experience has enabled her to treat a wide range of conditions such as repetitive strain injuries, nerve impingement, tendonitis, fibromyalgia, general tension, acute and chronic conditions, depression, anxiety, pre and postnatal issues, and general pain management.
